Couple Wins $100 at Huntley Expo

May 6, 2015 by Mike

KashKindle2015_halfHUNTLEY — Jack and Judy Fried of Sun City in Huntley felt surprise when they received a phone call telling them of their $100 win.  While attending the recent Huntley Expo they remembered signing up for several drawings.  Quickly they chose the crisp $100 bill over the alternate prize of a Kindle.  HSN, a business referral group in McHenry County, offered the prize as an incentive for attending the expo.

HSN meets twice a month to support local businesses.

Pictured (l to r) is John Jones of Jones Insurance Services,  Dr Deb Junkins of Pet Vet Animal Clinic, Sheldon Clark of Edward Jones Huntley, Mike Potter of ESC! Technologies Group, winner Jack Fried, Janet Sisson of Castle Bank Huntley, Nick Hoffman of Centurion Fleet Services, and Pat Lawlor of HyperStitch. Also members of HSN are Adult & Child Therapy Services, Countryside Flower Shop, Route 47 Taxi Transportation, Sleep Number and The Mortgage Guy Tom Rancak.

Dr Deb of Pet Vet Named “Everyday Hero”

March 2, 2015 by Mike

The Northwest Herald named our own Dr. Deb their “Everyday Hero”!

Pet Vet Animal Clinic is not only a caring environment for our pets, but also a nurturing environment for aspiring veterinarians too!

According to the recent Northwest Herald article, “The clinic has worked with McHenry County College students and students from other college-degree programs. Some come to job shadow for a few hours; others spend the summer working at the clinic. Some students have gotten experience in the field through Huntley High School’s cooperative education program. A few of those exposed to the business through such programs have gone on to work at the clinic.”

This open attitude toward cultivating and inspiring future generations of vets is why Dr. Deb was named the paper’s “Everyday Hero”.

Congratulations Dr. Deb!
